Environmental justice is a basic human right and public health dilemma. The principle affirms that everyone should be protected from environmental pollution and health hazards. While we all depend on the environment and its bounty, some communities are disproportionately at risk of exposure to contaminated air, land, soil, and water; as well as poverty and other societal ills.
